Using The SeeV™ puts a powerful personal presentation tool at your disposal. As a jobseeker you have the same capability as a corporate user (recruiter/employer) which means you too can benefit from the functionality of an application that allows an amazing level of flexibility. From how you present yourself on video to what additional information you provide is entirely down to YOU.

Without a doubt the most important factor in compiling a SeeV™ is your video which forms the centrepiece of your presentation.

The operational side of things is covered within our 'How to' section but can we stress, above anything else, DO NOT let your presentation become no more than a talking head! No-one wants to see you reading anything from a script; it's too rehearsed, it won’t allow the viewer to get a feeling for the real you.

The tell tale signs of reading from a script are the moving down of your head to read off paper and if you want to read your “speech” off autocue then the sharp-eyed will notice your eyes moving from side-to-side; a visible trait of the untrained user!  Here is a link to a desktop autocue application, just in case you thought you had to work in TV to get one: MYAUTOCUE.

We strongly recommend you get a friend/colleague to ask you your chosen questions and in so doing you are simulating an interview situation.  Remember, less is sometimes more – go over 4 minutes and your viewer's attention will evaporate.

A further point to consider here is your security/privacy. YOU are in control of everything in this respect. You have the option to make your SeeV™ Public so anyone you send the link to can see it. Alternatively you may opt for a Private setting whereby you issue the access code to whomever you choose. Whenever they view your SeeV the jobseeker user interface has a tracking section shows when this happened.

Finally, have you ever been to an interview when a recruiter or HR person has pointed out a glaring typographical error in your paper CV? You may have a dozen of these documents ‘in circulation’ and you probably want to send each person who holds a copy a corrected version. With The SeeV™ you update your master copy and everyone with viewing rights will immediately have the corrected version ‘on file’.
