"The cost effective web-based

video application for employers,

recruiters, and jobseekers."

Why would I want to send my client a video of a candidate?

It is a value added service for you to offer your client. With The SeeV™, clients can view an increased candidate pool from anywhere in the world. The SeeV™ allows candidates to be showcased to multiple people within an organisation (i.e. HR and Finance). In addition, as an early adopter of this technology you will go some way to ensuring that your candidates stand out from the crowd.

At what stage of the process can I show my clients The SeeV™ of my candidate?

The SeeV can be used whenever you decide to, either as the first point of introduction to a client or at the stage where a client has sifted through CV’s and wants you to interview a longlist of candidates. The latter stage is a good time as the client can advise you of the specific questions they would like your candidates to answer during the recording.

What is the actual process?

Our experience is that the vast majority of recruiters are Luddites when it comes to new technology and the inherent changes in work methodology! Time and simplicity are key factors and we have endeavoured to make working with The SeeV™ as idiot-proof as we can. The 'How To' section of this website explains all you need to know.

Does my client need any special equipment to view The SeeV™?

No – they only need to have an internet connection, as the application is web based and from there they can watch candidate video interviews with sound. All of The SeeV™ videos will come in Media Flash Player [FLV] format which is a commonly used media player.

What equipment do we need to work with this application?

All you need is a recording device [webcam, video recorder, FLIP Mino, iPod Nano etc.] and an internet connection.

What if my candidate doesn’t want to be videoed?

In our experience we recommend you advise candidates that the video is part of the recruiting process if they have applied for a role and that it would be helpful in  showcasing them to clients if they have made contact on a general basis. However, for candidates sourced through headhunt we suggest you give them the opportunity to opt out – they haven’t asked to be in the process; they may be more sensitive about the confidentiality aspect. No matter what source the candidate has been derived from we strongly recommend you emphasise that their SeeV™ is held on a secure server – there is no public access

Are there any issues relating to Discrimination?

No, quite the opposite in fact, in the majority of cases where people feel they have been discriminated against it is generally the case that there is little evidence to prove them right or wrong. With The SeeV™ there is irrefutable evidence of what has occurred during the video interview and this therefore safeguards the candidate, client and the recruiter. As part of the video viewing process we do ask the client to tick a box prior to watching the video clips to show that they are going to abide by the anti-discrimination laws which are currently in force. If the client is not willing to agree to this then they will not be able to view the video clip.

Is there a Data Protection issue?

No, the data is managed in exactly the same way that CV’s and test results would be managed in the traditional recruitment process. We have responsibility to protect the information we hold on behalf of candidates and clients, but some of the responsibility also rests with the recruiter and their client when they are handling the information – much in the same way that information is traditionally handled by them.

What will my return on investment be?

Using a simple ROI model The SeeV™ is very competitively priced, so much so that in order to make up your The SeeV™ costs for a whole year you will only have to make one extra placement.
